What we collect, and why

This page covers the Lokarri website and waitlist. We collect as little as we can, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use it for ads.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address. So we can tell you when there’s something for you.
- Whether you want to use Lokarri, or use it and lend your PC.
- Your survey answers, if you answer any. The survey is optional. Answers save as you go, so what you answer is kept even if you don’t finish.
- The time you signed up, which version of the page you saw, and the short tag in the link you came from (like
?src=reddit), if there was one.
When you visit, we count the visit once per browser tab: the time, which version of the page you saw, and the link tag, if any. That count isn’t tied to you or your email.
We don’t store your IP address, device or browser details with any of this. We don’t ask for your name.
Cookies and tracking
- No cookies and no ad or social media trackers.
- The page keeps a random ID and a few settings in your browser’s tab storage. It’s deleted when you close the tab. The ID is used to stop the same tab from signing up too many times in a row. We keep a scrambled copy of it for one day, then delete it.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites.
- Do Not Track: we don’t track you across other sites, so there’s nothing extra for a Do Not Track signal to turn off.
Who can see it
Only the Lokarri team. We don’t sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own use.
Two companies run parts of this site for us and handle the data only to do that job:
- Supabase stores the waitlist, on servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and counts page views. Like any web host, it sees your IP address when it delivers the page.
We’d share information if the law required it.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup until you ask us to remove it.
Removing or seeing your information
Reply to any email from us and ask. We’ll delete your signup and survey answers, or tell you what we have. You don’t need a reason, and it won’t cost anything.
Age
The waitlist is for people 13 and older. If we learn that someone under 13 signed up, we’ll delete their information.
Keeping it safe
The waitlist can only be read by signed-in Lokarri team members. The public website can add signups but can’t read them back.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
